  • Fill your vehicle with fuel.
  • Invest in a tire repair kit and a simple 12V portable tire pump.
  • Turn refrigerator to its coldest setting and keep it closed so that food will last if power fails.
  • Turn off propane tanks and unplug small appliances.
  • Schedule a homeowner’s insurance policy review with your agent.
  • Take pictures of household rooms/document belongings.
  • Make sure you have extra cash.
  • WATER – at least a 3-day supply: one gallon per person per day. Remember pets.
  • FOOD – at least a 3-day supply of non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food.
  • Cover your large furniture items with plastic.
